This is Camille. She’s 9 years old, creative, determined, and homeschooled — and she wears hearing aids that we lovingly call her “ears.”

One of the goals Camille chose for homeschool this year was something pretty big for a 9-year-old: She wanted to learn how to start her own business.

As her mom, I immediately thought about the journey she’s been on with her hearing aids. When Camille first got her ears, I was scared of what she would face becaue she was “different”. I wanted her to grow up feeling proud of them instead of ashamed. I never wanted them to be something she tried to hide. So we started making little charms and dangles to decorate her hearing aids to make them fun and special.

Something amazing happened — instead of just accepting her ears, she started to love them.

Now she wants to help other kids feel that way too.Together we created Cami’s Charms, a tiny business with a big heart. Camille helps design and make charms that attach to hearing aids so other kids can make their ears sparkle and they can feel proud wearing them.

This isn’t just about selling charms — it’s about helping kids feel confident, special, and seen.
